DATA RECOVERY PROCESS
Structured and Controlled Approach - Our Way to Success
Four Steps Data Recovery Procedure
Data Revival follows tested and proven procedures to maximize a successful outcome of data recovery process.
This structured and controlled approach guarantees the maximum possible success rate, prompt turnaround time and cost-effective service for every data recovery job.
Through constant communication during the entire process, the customer is kept fully
informed on the achieved progress and outcome.
When you notice loss of your data or become aware of a failure or irregular
operation of your hard drive (or other data storage device/media), you need to know the following:
What TO DO and NOT TO DO to improve the chances of your data being recovered successfully.
Once you pass through these recommendations, you are ready to start with recovery of your data.
To restore data from your Data Storage Media (“media” or “storage device” in further text), the data recovery process at Data Revival is managed through four major steps (stages, phases).
STEPS FOR DATA RECOVERY
Deliver or post your device to us
Your device will be assessed
We will recover your data
Collect your data and device
1. Submit Job
HOW TO START
These two forms need to be completed and enclosed together with the drive (or other storage device), which will be submitted for data recovery.
To submit your data storage device for data recovery, please bring it (no appointment is needed) or send it (by mail or courier) to our head office
No appointment is needed.
Feel free to provide us with your own good external hard drive on which we could transfer the recovered data.
Data Revival does not take any responsibility for any damage of the hardware (and related loss of data) while it is delivered/transported to or from us.
2. Initial Assessment
Once we receive the signed Service Agreement
and your data storage device, we will undertake the Initial Assessment of your storage device, which will determine if your data can be recovered.
Data Revival's scope of work covers only a recovery of data from data storage media.
Permanent service/repair of hardware is not in Data Revival's scope of work.
Purpose of the Initial Assessment is only to examine a possibility of data recovery from your drive (or other media).
As for the assessment we put our highly specialised skills and sophisticated equipment in action, we will charge you a moderate Assessment Fee (payable in advance and non-refundable) to cover some of the related costs.
As a result of the assessment, we will advise you if data is recoverable and if any intermediate steps should be taken to start with data recovery attempt (for example if purchase of any parts for temporary replacement is required for the recovery process).
If we deem that recovery of data is possible, you will receive a listing of the files and folders that can recovered, together with a fixed Recovery Fee quote for the recovery work itself.
Recovery Fee is a separate fee to the Assessment fee and it would be payable only if we recover data to your satisfaction. You will also be advised on an estimated time frame for completion of data recovery process.
Generally, the issued quotations are valid for a period of one month, but may be extended on a request.
If after the assessment we advise you that the recovery of your data is not possible, we will return your data storage device to you.
3. Data Recovery
If you accept our quote for data recovery, we will proceed with work in our lab and perform all actions required to recover your data.
Along the process, you will be informed in a timely manner on progress and outcome of the recovery attempt.
Once data recovery is completed, we will offer you to either bring your own good drive to us for data transfer or that we deliver recovered data to you on our loan hard drive.
“No Data - No Recovery Fee” Policy
We are confident in our data recovery abilities so much that if for some unforeseen reason data can not be recovered as listed in our quotation, we will charge you only the initial Assessment Fee and return your drive.
4. Data Delivery
The recovered data can be transferred onto a good hard drive provided by the customer.
Alternatively, Data Revival may offer to deliver recovered data on our external hard drive (loan drive), which the customer would borrow from us to copy the data on his computer. If data is delivered on our external hard drive, the customer would be required to return our drive within 3 working days.
Once transfer of data is completed, you will be advised to collect your data and hardware from Data Revival’s office within two working weeks.
It is customer’s responsibility to collect data and hardware as requested or to contact Data Revival regarding the alternative delivery arrangements. Data Revival will keep the customer’s hardware for a maximum period of 3 months.
