False Free Assessment, Free Quote and Free Evaluation Offers Exposed

False "free offers" are not part of our business model

It has been noticed in the industry that the above-mentioned"free offers" are false and misleading, mainly for two following reasons:

Reason 1

Some companies claim to offer “Free Assessment”, while in the same time they charge customers a hefty "Attempt Fee" in case that they can not recover data. 

Attempt Fee is just another name for the Assessment Fee as both fees cover the same overheads. 

However, because the Attempt Fee relates to the recovery attempt, it is easier to be accepted by the customer as justifiable. 

As a result, the amounts charged for Attempt Fees are usually several times larger than what is charged by the other businesses as a transparent assessment fee.

Reason 2

The offered “Free Assessments”, “Free Quotes” and “Free Evaluations”, require labour time of highly trained technical staff to be produced and also require usage of expensive, sophisticated equipment. 

Hence, these “free assessments, quotes and evaluations” are obviously a real cost to the above-mentioned recovery companies. This cost obviously needs to be covered, however it is initially only hidden from the customer at the time when the “free” offer is made. 

One can ask, how do these costs get covered and are these supposed “free assessments, quotes and evaluations” really free for all the customers? 

No, they are not!

• Only the customers whose data is not recoverable and the customers who after the assessment do not proceed with data recovery will have their evaluation for free.
• The customer who proceeds with data recovery after the assessment will be charged a Recovery Fee, which will include the cost of his own initial evaluation and will additionally include a shared cost of all “free assessments” provided to the clients who decided not to proceed with recovery or whose data was not recoverable. 
• Such unfair distribution of hidden “free assessment” costs is not acceptable to Data Revival’s business principles.

The above mentioned false "free offers" are not part of our business model.

As an honest and responsible Data Recovery Company we do charge in a transparent manner a moderate upfront Assessment Fee, only to cover some basic costs that we incur for the Initial Assessment of your data storage media.

This enables us to offer you an obligation free quotation for a fixed Recovery Fee to complete recovery of your data. 

The quoted Recovery Fee is based on a number of hours we need to spend on your particular recovery job and they are very competitive.

You can then decide if you would like to accept our Recovery Fee quote and proceed with data recovery.

Even if you accept our recovery fee quote, the fixed Recovery Fee is payable only if we recover the data to your satisfaction.

If for some reason you do not accept our Recovery Fee quote or you advise us that data is not recovered to your satisfaction, No Recovery Fee is charged.
