"No Data - No Recovery Fee" policy
Fees and costs may vary between different data recovery jobs, based on how complex the particular job is i.e. how labour intensive the recovery work is, if parts for temporary repair are required, how time consuming the temporary repair is, etc.

Initial Assessment.

Typical Fees that may apply during our data recovery process are:
- Assessment Fee Data Revival will undertake an Initial Assessment which will determine the condition of your data and if it can be recovered.
Customer agrees to pay an Assessment Fee to Data Revival before commencement of the assessment procedure regardless of the assessment findings.
The
Assessment Fee is paid for the Initial Assessment only and is not related to success of data recovery (i.e. it is non-refundable).
- Recovery FeeIf after the initial assessment, Data Revival believes that data can be recovered, Data Revival will provide to the customer an obligation free
fixed quotation for
Recovery Fee.
Even when the recovery fee quote is accepted by the customer, the
Recovery Fee would be payable only if data is recovered to the customer’s satisfaction.
If for some reason the customer does not accept our Recovery Fee quote or advise us that data is not recovered to their satisfaction, no Recovery Fee is charged and the data storage device is returned to the customer.
Recovery Fee is a separate fee to the
Assessment Fee and it is payable before or on delivery of data.
“No Data - No Recovery Fee” Policy
We are confident in our data recovery abilities so much that if for some unforeseen reason data can not be recovered as listed in our quotation, we will charge you only the initial Assessment Fee and return your drive.
- Cost to purchase parts for temporary replacement
Need for temporary replacement parts (required for completion of data recovery attempt) will be determined by the above-mentioned Initial Assessment.
In most cases no such parts are required. However, occasionally some failed parts of data storage device need to be temporarily replaced in order to complete the assessment and data recovery attempt. Even then in most cases this fee is not charged as we have few thousands of used hard drives in our stock, so we normally have immediate access to spare parts for temporary replacement and we do not charge customers for them.
When we do not have the required temporary replacement parts in our stock, then they need to be purchased from our suppliers and quotation for purchase such parts will be provided to the customer for acceptance and invoiced separately after the Initial Assessment. This cost for purchase of temporary replacement parts (when applicable) is a separate fee to the above-mentioned Assessment Fee and Recovery Fee. This fee is payable if the customer accepts the related quote and this fee is not related to success of data recovery (i.e. it is non-refundable).
- Shipping Fee
If due to your remote location you have a problem to pick up the hardware and the recovered data from our office, please let us know and we will send you a quotation for to arrange shipping (via Registered Post) of the hardware to your mailing address. If our quotation is acceptable to you, we will arrange this additional service for you (conditions apply).
Data Revival does not take any responsibility for any damage of the hardware (and related loss of data) while it is delivered/transported to or from us.
Request for any additional service will be considered by Data Revival and processed further through a separate quotation.
Main Terms & Conditions
The Service Agreement needs to be completed and accepted/signed by the customer for every data recovery job.
The signed Service Agreement and Questionnaire Form need to be enclosed together with the drive (or other storage device), which is submitted for data recovery.
Data Revival's scope of work only covers a recovery of data from data storage media. Permanent service/repair of hardware is not in Data Revival's scope of work.
Recovered data, if any, will be delivered to the customer using mutually agreed media, which can not be the original media from which the data was recovered.
The recovered data can be transferred onto a good hard drive that is provided by the customer.
Alternatively, Data Revival may offer to deliver recovered data on our external hard drive (loan drive), which the customer would borrow from us to copy the data on his computer. If data is delivered on our external hard drive, the customer would be required to return our drive within 3 working days.
Once the job is completed, the customer will be advised to collect his data and hardware from Data Revival’s office within two working weeks.
It is the customer’s responsibility to collect data and hardware as requested or to contact Data Revival regarding alternative delivery arrangements.
Data Revival will keep the customer’s hardware for a maximum period of 3 months.
